Research at the New School

In response to University Research Council suggestion and Faculty feedback, the Provost's Office of Research Support is now serving Principal Investigators by supporting collaborative research that may span beyond the traditionally used groupings/labels. The New School offers a number of Research Cohorts. These Cohorts provide a meeting place for faculty who self-identify with one (or more) of the following categories:

humanities/sciences

design

performance/artistic production

The goal of the Research Cohorts are to hold regular meetings, organized by the Office of Research Support, for faculty interested in pursuing external funding. In these meetings the Office of Research Support provides the Cohort with funding opportunities that match their area of interest. These meetings are also a forum for faculty to discuss research ideas, examine research challenges they are facing, share tips/tricks and meet others that they might collaborate with.
